Student Profile

Ben Tayler-Barrett

Cohort#2 CP3 CDT Student

Having spent the best part of a decade in various customer service, sales and team leadership positions, across retail, hospitality and telecommunications, Ben made the decision to return education, reading for a degree in Biochemistry at the University of Leeds. After being awarded a 2.1, he spent a year working in the analytical side of FMCG for the two leading home and personal care businesses.

Ben is now engaging in doctoral research within CP3. Hoping to indulge an interest in particulate systems for the controlled release of “active” compounds and further indulge in all manner of electromagnetic spectroscopic awesomeness (X-ray, FT-IR, Raman, NMR, Electron Microscopy, Laser Diffraction and anything else equally awesome that he may not know about yet!).
