Anoushka is our Centre Manager, and comes to us having worked in higher education for over 10 years. She joined the University in 2006 and for a brief time worked in the IT service. She then worked in the Research and Innovation Service and the International Office at the University of Leeds. Prior to joining the University, Anoushka worked on the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) rapid publication journal ‘Electronics Letters’ (as Managing Editor for 4 years). Anoushka completed a BSc and a PhD in Physics at Lancaster University.
Anoushka is responsible for the line-management and operation of the CDT Management Office which provides administrative support and coordination to the CDT. She is responsible for the implementation of decisions taken by the CDT Management Board, and monitoring the progress of the CDT with respect to milestones and deliverables.
The remit of the CDT Management Office includes:
The day-to-day running of the CDT, and the provision of support and administration services to staff, students and stakeholders;
Liaison with internal University offices and services, and compliance with University policy and practice; facilitating the provision of advice and guidance to the CDT Management Board and other decision-making bodies;
Servicing and operating the CDT student recruitment processes in co-operation with the Student Education Service;
To support the training and development of CDT students, and the administration of the CDT’s academic programme working in partnership with the Student Education Service;
The delivery of marketing activities and development of marketing strategy for the CDT;
The monitoring of the CDT’s finances, acting as primary budget holder on all operational accounts, and report on the financial status of the CDT to the CDT Management Board;
The administration of the CDT governance structure, minuting and supporting meetings of the other bodies outlined below;
The recording and collection of data for audit purposes, and the provision of information to EPSRC and others.
